Ramblings of a wondering bard

The Lamb

The Lamb,
a lonely sacrifice.
He goes out
before us.
The angel swoops down
catches His soul before it goes a drift.
The Saint,
He cries bitter pillars of salt.
The Serpent in the grass,
grins and hisses in glee,
Delight of the passing.
The Lamb,
a lonely sacrifice.
